About toolready

toolready is a collection of 103 small web tools for one-off jobs: convert a photo, merge a PDF, format some JSON, pick a colour, check a timezone. Each one does a single thing, loads fast, and works without an account.

Everything runs in your browser

The server's only job is to send you the page. Once it has loaded, the work happens on your device: image decoding, PDF assembly, hashing, even the AI background remover, which downloads a model once and then runs it locally. Your files and text are never uploaded, so there is nothing for us to store, leak, or lose.

This is a deliberate trade. Some things are slower in a browser than on a big server, and a few tools have file-size limits so they don't exhaust your device's memory. In exchange, the tools work on a flaky connection, cost nothing to run per use, and the privacy promise is structural rather than a policy you have to trust.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no signup walls, no "premium" version of the same tool.
• No advertising scripts and no third-party trackers on any page.
• No uploads. The privacy policy spells out the two functional cookies we set and the handful of tools that fetch a library or model from a CDN.

How it's built

The site is a static-first Astro app served from Cloudflare's edge. Every tool lives in its own folder with its logic split out so it can be unit tested, and a smoke test checks that every route still renders before a deploy. New tools are added often; if there's one you keep wishing existed, let us know.
