Privacy policy

Last updated 7 September 2026

The short version: your files and text never leave your device, we don't run analytics or advertising scripts, and the only cookies are two small preference cookies that contain no identifier.

What we don't collect

  • No accounts, so no names, email addresses, or passwords.
  • No uploads. Every tool processes your input inside your browser. The files, text, and images you work with are never sent to toolready's servers.
  • No client-side analytics, advertising, or social-media scripts on any page.
  • No fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking.

Cookies

We set two cookies, both strictly functional, both scoped to toolready.app, and both kept for one year:

  • theme: whether you chose light or dark mode.
  • recent: the slugs of the last few tools you opened, so the homepage can show a "Recently used" row.

Neither contains an identifier and neither is read by anyone but your own browser. Clearing your cookies simply resets those two preferences.

Server logs and aggregate traffic

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare sees the technical details of each request (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested) in order to deliver it and to block abuse. We look at Cloudflare's aggregate, cookieless traffic reports (page views by country and by page) to see which tools people use. We do not build profiles of individual visitors and we do not receive the raw logs.

Tools that fetch a model or library on first use

A few tools need a large file that is loaded on demand rather than shipped with every page. When you first run one of these, your browser downloads that file from a public content delivery network. The CDN sees a normal web request (your IP address and the file requested). It never sees your photo, document, or text, which stays in your browser.

  • AI Background Remover: the RMBG-1.4 model from Hugging Face and the ONNX runtime from jsDelivr.
  • Text to Speech (local model option only): the KittenTTS model from Hugging Face and the ONNX runtime from jsDelivr.
  • PDF to Image and its variants: font and character-map data for pdf.js from jsDelivr, and only when a PDF relies on a non-embedded standard font or a CJK character map.

Everything else, including fonts, is served from toolready.app itself.

Links to other sites

Tool explainers sometimes link to documentation elsewhere. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Changes

If we ever add a service that changes any of the above, for example a server-side feature or an advertising partner, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
